Living Eggs
by Taken from the Idea Swap- ChildrensMinistry.net

At Easter, create your own set of 4 Easter "Lessons", & over a 4-week period each child will fill their own dozen "Living Eggs" (The idea is based on the Resurrection Eggs you can buy at Christian Bookstores.) Lessons from creation through Christ's life, death & resurrection to give can be taught to give children the whole idea of why Christ came. Complete 3 eggs each week. After each lesson the children will fill their eggs with items pertaining to the lesson and a Bible verse that correlates as well. Give each child their own egg carton to fill with the eggs. When finished, each child will have their own dozen "Living Eggs" that to take home Easter Sunday.

Be really creative with this, and come up with just about any ideas for in the eggs.

Week 1:
Creation of World (stickers of stars)
Creation of People (gummy bear people)
The first sin (cereal that looked like fruit-Kix)
Week 2:
Announcement of Christ's Birth - (Angel Stickers)
Christ's Birth (small plastic baby & hay)
Wise Men - (tiny gifts)
Week 3:
Last Supper - (oyster crackers)
Triumphal Entry - (tiny palm leaves)
Week 4:
Crucifixion - (tiny plastic cross)
Burial - (White piece of cloth)
Resurrection - (Small stone)
Ascension - (Cotton Ball)
