Mister Bill's Second Album

Mister Bill’s Second Album

Want to reach the “tweeners” in your group? They are the pre-teens, the 10-12 age group that is the most under-served in Christian music. Mister Bill, a talented musician and songwriter has what you need. Known for music with an irresistible upbeat tempo, that has become his trademark, Mister Bill offers children’s alternative music.

What is alternative music? It’s really encompasses many styles from hip hop to pop, rock, jazz, rap, a little Irish jig and some folk ballads. Mister Bill’s new self-titled album targets this middle age group by providing contemporary and non-traditional music styles that include strong scripture based lyrics and are aimed to inspire and entertain.

Included on the album is “God is Talking to You”, a jazzy pop tune that encourages kids to listen to God. “Members of the Same Body” is a driving, Irish-flavored interactive rocker. Mister Bill’s version of “This Little Light of Mine” is not the one you normally hear in Sunday School and his remake of the classic “Little Man” is a fun island influenced look at Zaccheaus.

Listening to the album is an exciting experience because of the variety of styles. You never know what’s coming next! I personally enjoyed it because of the great mix. Two of my favorites are at opposite ends of the music spectrum. There is “I Ride My Bike” which is a folksy ballad (more for the younger kids in the audience) that reminds us of God’s presence in the every day experiences of our lives. On the other end “In the Jungle”, has lots of percussion and animal sounds and a strong message as well.

All time favorites like Pharaoh, Pharaoh, done hip hop style and the fun re-make of the Audio Adreneline hit “Big House” are included in the mix. Add in “Every Day” based on Psalm 145 and another favorite of mine “Take it to The Top”, which tells kids that they can always pray and be comforted by God. The common bond that ties the songs together is that Mister Bill bases all of his music on scripture. So, you’ve got an album filled with a variety of music that is fun, entertaining, straight from the Word and also very different!

Mister Bill is definitely breaking new ground with this album and though his target audience is that 10-12 age group, there is something for everyone in the mix. It’s a great album that both kids and parents will enjoy.

The album is currently available through Mister Bill’s website at http://www.mrbillsworld.com or by calling 888-808-9595. Check it out!
