An Idea For St. Patrick's Day
by Janie Gausmann

photoTell the story about St. Patrick going to Ireland to teach the people about Jesus. When he was trying to explain about the Trinity they did not understand. He held up a clover and asked them: "Is this one leaf or three?" They answered that they did not know. He told them that each of the petals of the leaf represented the Trinity: three distinct parts of the whole.

Then someone asked St Patrick what the Fourth petal meant, and he replied, "This is to show you that God has included you in His plan, as one of His children!"

Give each child a clover that has been laminated to take home with them to help them share this story with others!
